The AASM published a clinical practice guideline to make important updates to the recommendations in the 2007 Practice Parameters regarding the treatment of intrinsic circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders (CRSWDs). These updates are based on new evidence published after 2007 for the treatment of CRSWDs, particularly in specific sub-populations including the elderly and children with and without comorbid psychiatric conditions. The clinical practice guideline is an essential update to the practice parameter document.
